World Cup 2019: Bangladesh-Sri Lanka match abandoned due to rain

World Cup 2019: Bangladesh-Sri Lanka match abandoned due to rain

Bristol: The Sri Lanka World Cup match against Bangladesh was abandoned on Tuesday due to the lack of hitting due to Bristol's rain.

This is the second consecutive time that Bristol has participated in the World Cup. This game has become a victim of bad weather. Sri Lanka did not have any results in the match against Pakistan in the southwestern part of Gloucestershire on Friday.

In the three World Cup games scheduled to be held in Bristol, only one game produced any competition. The champion Australia team defeated the outside Afghan team with seven shots and started their championship defense.

Heavy rains overnight and early in the morning delayed the start of Tuesday's game at 10:30 am (0930 GMT) local time.

As the rain continued to decline, the referee inevitably sang the match at 1:57 pm (12:45 GMT) after several inspections.

Both sides received a flushing point.

This is no result for the second World Cup, after Monday's short-lived South Africa game against South Westampton's West Indies.
