Designed for sun and sound, Bose Frames are the perfect Father's Day gift this summer
Earlier this spring, Bose introduced a new wearable technology to the world: acoustic sunglasses.
Bose Frames combines the performance of advanced protective sunglasses with wireless headphones to create a different audio augmented reality than ever before. And they are the perfect Father's Day gift in your father's life.
Available in two styles, the larger Wayfarer inspired "Alto" and the smaller, more rounded "Rondo", all using the thinnest, smallest and lightest Bose system. The technology leverages the power of micro-acoustics, voice control and personal audio to enable users to transfer music, make calls and use virtual assistants while maintaining privacy.
Each of the two arms has a thin, acoustic package of wafers disposed internally to create a discreet but powerful sound for the user. The top right lens is equipped with a microphone for voice control (Bose Frames for use with Siri and Google Assistant) and a multi-function button for pairing and touch control.
Although they won't change what you see, Bose Frames has an audio augmented reality component.
In terms of design, the Alto lens is 52 mm wide, 18 mm wide and 150 mm long. The smaller Rondo style has a 50 mm wide lens, a 16 mm bridge and the same 150 mm temple length.
These two pairs of sunglasses can block up to 99% of UVA and UVB rays, and are decorated with high-quality finishes such as gold-plated hinges and broken scratch-resistant lenses.
They also use a lithium battery to connect to the pogo-pin cable (supplied) for charging up to 3.5 hours of playback and up to 12 hours of standby.
